Ann Stewart is among a very small group at the top of the jazz banjo world. She is the leader, banjoist and vocalist of Chicago's premier Dixieland Show Band. Her percussive, swinging style of banjo performance along with her energy and enthusiasm fuels the exclusive arrangements performed by the band. Ann and the Banjo Buddies Dixieland Band specialize in, but are not limited to, Classic Dixieland Jazz and standards spanning three decades. Each dynamic band member is skilled in improvisation, keeping the music fresh and always entertaining. The band's modern showbiz savvy reflects their success at making their music relevant to current audiences with a sound and style that is uniquely different.

This group's eclectic style has allowed them to prosper for over three decades performing over 200 engagements each year from concert halls to local and international festivals, state and county fairs, corporate events, grand openings, cruises and countless private functions. They are inductees in the Illinois Festival Association Hall of Fame as "Entertainers of the Year" and have recorded eight albums.
